After practicing as an intensive care nurse for many years, Dr. Perelman decided to pursue her interests in dentistry. Dr. Perelman graduated with honors from Loyola University College of Dentistry in 1992. She has owned two dental practices in Chicago and was also a private practitioner for a year in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Perelman recently moved to San Diego where she has joined Dr. Hargas and the Oceanview Dental team. Comprehensive and esthetic dentistry has been her focus, as she has advanced training in both cosmetic dentistry and full mouth reconstruction from the prestigious Hornbrook Group Center for Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Perelman is dedicated to patient education and embracing new technologies; she has published several articles on both subjects.

Dr. Perelman has been married to her husband, Michael, a physician, for over 20 years. They have two wonderful daughters attending school in Carlsbad. The Perelman family loves California so far, and they are looking forward to learning how to surf!
