Jordan D Colby, DMD

Dr. Colby

I am so excited to be here in Oceanside! I grew up in Carpinteria, California, where I played football and volleyball, and I loved spending time at the beach. After high school, I served a two-year service mission in Venezuela and Chile, where I learned Spanish fluently, but more importantly, I learned I wanted to pursue a life of serving others.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Hunter University in New York City, where I obtained a degree in chemistry and Spanish interpretation and translation and graduated with cum laude honors. I attended the College of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University, Arizona, where I received my DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree. In dental school, I was chairman of the Academy of LDS dentists and organized a group of 20 dental students to participate in a two-week dental service mission to the island of Tonga, where more than 400 locals received free dental care.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have four daughters! We also have a Golden Retriever named Redford and two cats. When I’m not in the dental office, I enjoy road biking, swimming and finding the best places to eat tacos.

This is an amazing time in dentistry where advances in technology and research are helping us produce excellent results for our patients in a timely manner. I love ALL aspects of dentistry! At Oceanview Dental, we offer a world-class dental experience and offer nearly every dental procedure in house. We focus in cosmetics, implants, orthodontics (Invisalign®) and endodontics (root canals). I am a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Academy of Implant Dentistry. I attend continuing education courses with SD CEREC docs and Spear education seminars. There is nothing I love more than finding new and innovative ways of doing dentistry that makes it more cost effective and comfortable for our patients! I am passionate about the work we do here and look forward to getting to know each one of you!

Mark Krupp, DDS

Dr. Mark Krupp graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1982. He obtained his specialist degree in periodontics shortly thereafter. Dr. Krupp has provided periodontal and implant services in the San Diego area for over twenty-four years, and has been treating patients in our practice for fifteen years.

Specializing in dental implants and other periodontal procedures, Dr. Krupp employs the latest technology to minimize discomfort before, during, and after his care. In addition, Dr. Krupp uses techniques that reduce the chances of inflammation and pain after surgical procedures. With this regimen, Dr. Krupp’s patients have minimal swelling and rarely need strong narcotics to control pain. Dr. Krupp realizes that many patients are anxious about going to the dentist and provides nitrous oxide, IV sedation, and if needed, arrangements can be made to have a board-certified dental anesthesiologist provide general anesthesia for surgical procedures.

Aside from practicing dentistry, Dr. Krupp has been happily married to his wife, Rita, for 32 years. Rita is a speech pathologist working with special needs children in the Grossmont High School District. Their beautiful daughter is a special education teacher in Huntington Beach, and their wonderful son is a student at Mira Costa Community College.
